Located at the heart of the National Forest, North West Leicestershire is proud of its reputation as a well-run and financially secure authority, with a positive culture and strong partnerships.  The council is looking forwards with a 5 year capital investment programme to deliver over £10m of work to improve its housing stock, as well as an ambitious plan to build at least 100 new council homes over the next 3 years.  Additionally, the council’s asset management plan will see the council make investments in its current portfolio as well as explore options for the acquisition of new assets to further support the council along its path of financial stability.

This is a critical and exciting time for North West Leicestershire with a clear ambition to deliver the majority of this work in-house.  We are looking for an experienced housing asset management or property professional with a track record of delivering high quality services.  You may be operating at this level already or be someone with the potential to grow into this role.

You will lead the asset management strategy including disposals and acquisitions for both our General Fund (Corporate) and Housing Revenue Account portfolio; reduce the carbon footprint of all our properties; deliver robust compliance management to ensure customers, residents and staff are safe; and oversee the council housing improvement programme, facilities management and corporate landlord functions through our in-house team.
